Warren G recently said that the soundtrack to the upcoming N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton, will be a project no one will want to miss. In fact, he wants to be on board to help craft the project as well, alongside Dr. Dre, who he says will be heavily involved.

"Dre, he working on the movie, the N.W.A [biopic], so I'm pretty sure that soundtrack is going to be monstrous," the rap vet tells XXL. "I really want to be a part of that. So I'm going to get with him, talk with him and hopefully I can help him with the production.

"I would love to collaborate with Dre on the production because I know he's going to be involved in a lot of the production," Warren G adds. "My thing is I just want to be involved as far as the production, get in there and make some classic records once again. 'Cause that’s who I look up to and that’s who taught me what I know as far as production."

In August, it was announced that Marcus Callendar will play Dr. Dre and Jason Mitchell will play Eazy-E in the forthcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton. Ice Cube's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. is slated to play Ice Cube in the film.

Straight Outta Compton is due out Aug. 14, 2015.
