Fresh off her prison release, Remy Ma has immediately hit the ground running… and is already getting money offers.
In a recent interview with Home Of Hip-Hop, the New York rap vet revealed that she was offered six figures for a rap battle event… but has declined.
“I had a crazy offer that was in the six figure area to do such,” Remy said. “That’s not really where I’m at right now in my career. I believe I could do it if I wanted to, that’s what I do. But, that’s not what I want to do.”
Despite turning it down, she says she loves watching rap battles… and says she would be interested in creating her own rap battle league.
“I like seeing people that haven’t had the chance to make it as far as I have, or even as far as I would like to be one day get a chance to showcase their art and their creativity,” Remy said.
“I would though, if I had the platform to where I could actually start my own and have more chicks come in,” she continued. “Not just girls, but guys too. Some of the girls that I’ve seen, they’re better than most of these guys. I’d set it up to where it’s just a rap battle, no girl version and guy version… If you’re nice with it, you can stand toe-to-toe with anybody, regardless of the gender.”
