Guinness invited us to be among the first to try their newest offering earlier this month, Guinness Blonde Lager, the first of a set of beers from Diageo called the “Discovery Series.” During a private dinner, we were able to try the new light-colored beer and learn more about it’s new concept — a crisp, light and flavorful beer brewed in Guinness’ famous tradition with carefully selected Mosaic and Willamette American hops.

We also sat down with Guinness marketing head Ruairi Twomey and former brewmaster Joe Gruss who spoke to us further about the creation of Guinness Blonde Lager, which is expected to launch soon.
