Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled the S600 Guard, touted as the world’s first “comprehensively certified” vehicle in the VR9 resistance class.
The armored luxury sedan is perfect for an individual in need of the the ultimate protection. It features a specially-developed steel built into the cavities between its body structure and outer skin, which is also strengthened by tough aramide fibers and polyethylene components for additional splinter protection.
All glass areas of the vehicle is coated with polycarbonate, while other features include a panic alarm system, opaque roller blinds, an emergency fresh air system, hydraulic slide windows, gimbal rear LED reading lamps, a special rear cooling compartment, and heated windscreen and side windows.
The S600 Guard looks identical to its standard version, and also features the same v12 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine.
