Following the Wu-Tang Clan’s idea of selling a single copy of a secret album, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony followed with the same idea.
In July, the group said they are recording their final album together… and will sell a single copy to one lucky fan. The asking price: $1 million.
Since announcing the news, member Krayzie Bone says they’ve received a bid.
“The reaction has been great,” he told HipHopDX. “We received the first bidder. I ain’t gonna say who it is… This is gonna be like a domino effect and the one bidder came in like very, very interested. I’m just putting that out there. We got a bidder, so all you bidders better come on and start bidding ’cause it’s going down.”
The album is titled E. 1999/Legends, in honor of the 20th anniversary of E. 1999/Eternal. Krayzie told HipHopDX that the album is going to see Bone return to their original sound.
Also, they plan to bring in a slew of guest appearances. “We’re going to try to hit everybody from Phil Collins, Mariah Carey all the way to Drake and Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar,” Krayzie said.
Further details about the album is unknown at press time.
