The countdown for Wiz Khalifa’s Blacc Hollywood has started, so the rapper offers up a trailer for the project, in which he explains the inspiration behind the album and what to expect.
“It’s a look into the ’80s and the more punk era, and the stuff that inspired what people pay sh*t loads of money for now,” Wiz explains in the clip, as he cuts up a T-shirt to make it his own.
“A lot of the music that I’m inspired by is kids who are doing it on their own and low quality videos,” he continued. “You take me, who’s like a huge superstar to a lot of people, and I dumb it down and I minimize everything. I lower my quality, but the thought process and the art is still there.”
Blacc Hollywood is due out August 19th, and will feature the likes of Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Juicy J, Ty Dolla $ign, Curren$y, and more.
