Quarterback Andy Dalton has agreed to a six-year, $115 million contract extension with the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to ESPN.com, the 26-year-old signed the deal Monday (August 4), extending his rookie contract, which he had one year left and slightly less than $1.7 million coming this season.
In three seasons, Dalton has helped the Bengals to a 30-18 mark during the regular season and three straight trips to the playoffs. However, in the postseason, he’s been unable to deliver, going 0-3 as a starter. His career QBR during the regular season is 51.5, while it dips to 18.1 in postseason play.
Bengals owner Mike Brown told ESPN that Dalton will be “the quarterback here for the immediate future.”
