After several delays, Chris Brown’s long awaited X album has an official release date: September 16th.
The singer announced the date on Instagram with an black and white image of himself with an red “X” across it.
So far, the album has spawned the platinum hit “Loyal” featuring Lil Wayne and Tyga, and the follow-up “New Flame” with Usher and Rick Ross. A video for the latter is set to premiere this month.
He has also collaborated with Nicki Minaj (“Love More”), Kendrick Lamar (“Autumn Leaves”), Brandy, Kelly Rowland, Wiz Khalifa, and B.o.B., as well as producers Timbaland, Diplo, Polow Da Don, Danja, Pharrell, and Drumma Boy.
“I been through a lot in my life. Made a lot of mistakes along the way,” Brown wrote on Instagram. “But through it all I’ve always been true to myself and through God I’ve been able to take care of my family! I should regret some things but I think the lessons learned will shape me into a real man. I’m grateful and appreciative! Thank you for life!”
