Just hours after LeBron James announced that he would return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, fans are embracing the King… as the team has sold out season tickets.
According to reports, the NBA team’s tickets sold out in less than eight hours after James made his announcement.
The Cavs capped season-ticket sales at slightly more than 12,000 tickets Friday (July 11), leaving roughly 8,000 tickets per game to be used for group sales and ticket plans.
ESPN says that shortly before 12:30 p.m. ET, when the news was revealed, ticket phone lines were so jammed that the team began rerouting lines in the office to be used for ticket sales.
Ticket prices for season tickets stayed the same, despite the buzz, although individual tickets are expected to be priced dynamically as they have been in the past.
