On the heels of the excitement of being chosen the first overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Cleveland Cavaliers star Andrew Wiggins signs a new endorsement deal… with adidas.
According to ESPN.com, the 19-year-old Canadian has inked a multiyear deal with the shoe brand that comes with a guarantee of, at least, $2 million annually. He previously wore adidas during his only year of college ball at the University of Kansas.
Adidas’ deal with Wiggins marks the first with the No. 1 overall NBA draft pick since signing Derrick Rose in 2008.
The brand’s roster also includes Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, the Wizards’ John Wall, and new Utah Jazz rookie Dante Exum, who was taken fifth overall.
