The race for Carmelo Anthony this free agency sees two teams offering the NBA star a max contract.

According to the New York Post, the New York Knicks — who are able to offer Melo the most — told him that will give him the maximum contract of five years, $129 million.

So far, the other max offer comes from out West. The Los Angeles Lakers told Anthony in their recent meeting that they’d offer him a maximum four-year, $95 million contract if he chose to sign with them … and play alongside Kobe Bryant.

A source tells ESPN.com that the Lakers’ pitch went “really well” and added, “I don’t know how big of a shot we have, but I think we have a shot.”

A league source told The Post Melo’s decision should come over the weekend…
