Following a stint with the Los Angeles Lakers last season, free agent center Chris Kaman has agreed to a two-year deal with the Portland Trail Blazers. According to the AP, the deal is worth a reported $9.8 million.
Kaman has confirmed the deal on Twitter, tweeting: “How’s the hunting in Portland?” He later added: “Portland is a great fit for me, it’s a team that has done great things and has a lot of talent! Can’t wait to get started in #RipCity”
Last season with the Lakers, Kaman averaged 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds, but was limited to a career-low 18.7 minutes in 39 games. He struggled late in the season with injuries.
The 7-footer will back up Robin Lopez with the Blazers.
