With the summer months here and water park season in full swing, we’d like to introduce the Verruckt, the world’s tallest water slide.

Set to open soon at Kansas City’s Schlitterbahn Park, it stands at a Guinness World Record 168 feet high. The ride straps park attendees into a four-person raft and sends them screaming down the near vertical chute at speeds reaching 70 mph. But, there’s more than one drop. After the first drop, where you reach the soaking nadir, riders are sent back up a second rise, tumbling another 50 feet before landing in the pool.
