Despite reports that the Miami Heat were gunning for free agent Kyle Lowry, the star guard is staying with the Toronto Raptors after agreeing to a four-year, $48 million contract, reports ESPN.com.
The 28-year-old was considered one of the top free agent guards on the market this off-season, following a strong season in which he averaged 17.9 points and 7.4 assists… and led the Raptors to their first playoff appearance since 2008.
Lowry chose the Raptors over offers from the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers.
