A clip from the scrapped music video for Lady Gaga’s “Do What U Want” single, featuring R. Kelly, has made its way to the Internet.
Shot in September by Terry Richardson, and originally set to debut in December, the pop star stopped its release in January with a message on her website, blaming the delay on time constraints and “those who have betrayed me.”
However, in wake of sexual assault allegations brought forth against Richardson, it’s reported that Gaga pulled the plug in fear of backlash over the controversy, as well as sexual-assault claims against Kelly as well.
A source tells Page Six, “Gaga had a video directed by an alleged sexual predator, starring another sexual predator. With the theme, ‘I’m going to do whatever I want with your body’?’ It was literally an ad for rape.”
In the racy 30-second clip, obtained by TMZ, R. Kelly plays doctor and Gaga is his patient.
“How does that feel?” he asks as he touches her under the white sheets. “Sounds like that medicine is starting to kick in.”
What do you think of the clip… and the controversy?
