After finally coming to an agreement with RZA to record the long-awaited new Wu-Tang Clan album, A Better Tomorrow, Raekwon explains his excitement about the project.
In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid, the rap vet says he loves the Wu, but admits their age is catching up to them… to make a classsic album.
“I’m happy,” Raekwon said. “I love the Wu-Tang fans. I love my crew. But it’s business. When you got babies, nothing don’t count unless it makes sense for them.
“At the end of the day. I just still know that you’re only as good as your last swing,” he added.
In May, the group posted on its website that Rae and RZA had reached a truce and that he was now on board to record his verses for A Better Tomorrow.
