Billboard and Twitter teamed up for the launch of collaborative charts on Tuesday (May 27), ranking popular songs in real-time.
The Billboard Twitter Real-Time Charts redefine how fans “interact with, and influence, popular content by ranking the most popular songs being shared on Twitter in the U.S.”
The first of the charts, the Trending 140, offers an up-to-the-minute ranking of songs shared, measured by acceleration over the past hour. It can be filtered to present a real-time view of the most shared track in the U.S. over the past 24 hours, as well as a weekly summary presented as the Billboard Twitter Top Tracks chart.
At press time, John Legend’s “All Of Me” topped the chart.
Another chart is the “Billboard Twitter Emerging Artists”, which ranks the most shared songs on Twitter by up-and-coming artists.
At press time, Ransom’s “Dying Breed” sat at No. 1, while K Camp’s buzzing “Cut Her Off” was at No. 3.
