Charles Barkley: “LeBron Should Return To Cleveland Cavs”

LeBron James and Charles Barkley

Although the Miami Heat and LeBron James are currently focused on another NBA title, people are already talking about the summer… because that’s when he can opt out of his contract and become a free agent.

If he does, where is he going? No one knows but LeBron. However Charles Barkley thinks he should return to the place he started: the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In an interview with ESPN, the NBA legend/commentator advocates the King’s return to his home state… to write his wrongs.

“I’ve always thought he was going to go back to Cleveland,” Barkley said. “Nobody dislikes LeBron. I think LeBron made a huge mistake with that ‘Decision’ crap. He’s come back and since admitted that. That’s the only thing people hold against LeBron.

“He’s a great player, a great person. I hope he goes back to Cleveland,” he continued. “Those fans in Miami are not real fans, those fans in Cleveland are real fans. I’ve always hoped he would go back to Cleveland. That would be a great way to finish his career.”

The question is: Can the Cavs offer James something he wants? The team finished last season with a dismal 33-49 record, missed the playoffs, and fired coach Mike Brown.

However, on a bright note, they’ve won the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft — where they could add a top prospect, or gain a veteran in a trade.

  1. Crap is what Barkley says way too often, his comments other than basketball should not be allowed. Oh, it was ok for him to leave a team to try to get a championship, but not James..please…I’m not a fan, we was good when he played, but that horse is dead & buried…do the same to Barkley
