Ahead of its unveiling to the public, Alfa Romeo unveiled its 2015 4C to the media Wednesday (April 16) at the New York Auto Show.
The reveal marks the Italian brand’s anticipated return to North America, showing off its mid-engine design, inspired by its legendary racing history. It boasts a state-of-the-art carbon fiber monocoque and all-aluminum turbocharged engine (influenced by Formula 1), helping the car deliver supercar-level performance and driving exhilaration.
The 4C is powered by an all-new 1750 cc direct-injection, 237 horsepower aluminum engine, allowing it to reach 0-60 in the mid-4 second range and a top speed of 160 mph.
It also feature Alfa Romeo’s DNA selector, offering four drive modes to allow drivers to optimize their driving experience — including All-weather, which is self explanatory; Natural for grand touring comfort and smooth drivability; Dynamic for improved driving performance via a more aggressive powertrain calibration and less intrusive electronic stability control (ESC) setting; and Race, which puts the driver in total control of the car under race conditions.
The 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition hits showrooms this June and is limited to just 500 serialized coupes.
