After years of grinding, recording music and releasing a series of exclusive mixtapes with Naughty By Nature, Doitall and the Digital Dynasty series, New Jersey rap vet Tha Advocate finally unleashes his long overdue second album, Designed To Be Signed.
Years in the making, the rapper crafted a hip-hop album with substance, where he opens up about real life issues, alongside a mix of skits, club bangers and more.
“I started working on this album in late 2006 and it’s a relief to finally get this out there to the masses,” says Advo. “I wanted to craft an album like you would get back in the day when you felt like it was a complete work. There are songs for everything on here… from real life issues, some club joints, funny skits, realtionship tracks, and of course, some straight lyrical go in records. If you want it, it’s on here.
“After years of giving away music for free, it’s now time to let out my second studio album.”
The 22-track effort boasts guest appearances from the likes of Killah Priest, Ras Kass, Big Lou, Stat Quo, and Hussein Fatal, among others … as well as his previously released single, “Where I Come From.”
