50 Cent recently sat down with Rob Markman from MTV for an in-depth talk, as he gears up for the release of his upcoming album, Animal Ambition.
During the sit-down, he talks about a variety of things, including a recent collaboration with The Lox and how it came about.
“It was an idea to do a song with Jada, and I did it. I went to Yonkers to go get the record,” 50 explains. “I come to their hood and we got a chance to kick it. All their homies was around so it was the perfect time for me to play music to see how they would react to it. One joint came on and [Styles P] went crazy to it. Styles was like, ‘Play that again.’ He just kept going on [about it]. And I was like, ‘I’ma leave it, you can just get on it.’ And he was excited.”
Later, Fif discusses his plans in taking the independent route, appreciating how Eminem and Dr. Dre helped his career, maintaining a passion for music, and the overall theme for Animal Ambition.
Animal Ambition will be released on June 3rd.
