Making headlines this week is the new item at the Arizona Diamondbacks’ concession stand: the D-Bat Dog.
ESPN.com reports that the new food item, which is set to sell at Chase Field this season, is an 18-inch corn dog stuffed with cheddar cheese, jalapenos and bacon, and served with a side of fries.
But, here’s the kicker: it’s $25.
Team president Derrick Hall tells ESPN the new D-Bat is about “sharing with the family.”
“We don’t have any expectations for the D-Bat, but we’ll look forward to seeing if it becomes popular with our fans. Every night for us is a successful night because we offer the most affordable food prices in all of baseball.”
If the massive corn dog isn’t you’re style, the team will also sell a Venom Dog, a footlong habanero sausage topped with black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream, which costs $10.
