mtvU kicked off its 2014 Woodie Awards from SXSW on Thursday (March 13), but if you weren’t there, you had to wait until this past Sunday (March 16) to see how it all went down.
As previously reported, Drake took home the Woodie Of The Year award, while Chance The Rapper earned Best Video Woodie for “Everybody’s Something.” But, the real evening highlights were the performances.
Lil Wayne kicked off the show with a verse from “A Milli” and a new freestyle, while Iggy Azalea took to the stage after an introduction from Danny Brown and Steve Aoki to performance “Fancy” alongside Charli XCX. Iggy rocked a Clueless-inspired outfit, as balloons and confetti filled the stage.
Later, Childish Gambino capped off the show with a medley of “3005” and “Sweatpants” alongside a marching band.
