Inside Dick Clark’s Flintstones-Style Malibu Home

The Malibu property of the late Dick Clark went on the market two years ago, but was removed for sometime... until just recently at half-a-million dollars less.

Listed at $3 million, the hilltop Malibu property sits on nearly 23 acres, and boasts 360 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, Channel Islands, Boney Mountains, Serrano Valley, sunsets and city lights. However, it looks like a home straight out of the Flintstones.

According to Yahoo, the parcel is surrounded by protected land and trails, which dictated the unique look.

The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy didn't want Clark building any home there, but he wouldn't give up. "I came up with the idea that if the house looked like a rock formation, the park conservancy would let us build on top," architect, Phillip Jon Brown told CNNMoney. "They liked the concept."

Because of this, buyers would have complete privacy and unparalleled views, being that it requires a three-mile drive along a canyon road... and you have no neighbors.
