Box Office: ‘Non-Stop’ Grounds ‘The LEGO Movie’

After running the box office for a few weeks, Liam Neeson finally grounded The LEGO Movie with his new hit action-flick, Non-Stop, which debuted at No. 1 with $30 million, proving Neeson's staying power as an action star.

In the film, he plays a federal air marshal who springs into action during a transatlantic flight after receiving a series of text messages that put his fellow passengers at risk.

At No. 2 at Fox's Son of God, following closely behind Non-Stop with $26.5 million domestically. The film recounts the story of Jesus' life using footage from the production of History Channel's 10-part miniseries, The Bible.

Last weekend's top film, The LEGO Movie, drops to No. 3 with $21 million to bring its domestic haul to $209 million. The Monuments Men lands at No. 4 with $5 million, and 3 Days to Kill closes out the top 5 with $4.9 million.

That's a wrap for this weekend. This upcoming week, look out for the release of 300: Rise of An Empire and Mr. Peabody & Sherman.
