Following his recent DUI arrest in Miami, Justin Bieber has become the target of a White House petition, demanding that the he be deported.
A petition launched on the White House’s website — calling for the Canadian-born singer’s deportation from the United States — had garnered over 123,000 signatures as of press time, reaching the 100,000 signature threshold required for presidential consideration. So, basically, it will now be reviewed President Obama on whether to take action or now.
“We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation’s youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society,” the petition reads.
Bieber is currently living and working in the U.S. under a renewable O-1 visa for entertainers. He’d need a “green card” for permanent residence.
At press time, the White House had not commented.
