Nike released their new Flyknit Lunar2 sneaker earlier this week, boasting two of the brand’s best innovations.

It pairs the ultra light Nike Flyknit upper with the super soft Lunarlon cushioning. The micro-engineered Flyknit upper provides support, stretch and ventilation where needed. It’s construction eliminates the need for multiple materials and material cuts, providing a virtually seamless upper that helps reduce waste. To further boost support, Flywire cables are integrated into the upper to cradle the foot and provide a supportive lockdown.

Following the success of the Flyknit Lunar1+, Nike designers engineered more stretch into the Flyknit Lunar2 upper for a better fit and attached the tongue to keep it in place. On the outsole, pressure map data helped inform a new pattern to more closely match how the foot naturally moves through stride. Designers also applied this to Lunarlon foam to enhance the cushioning properties and deliver greater flexibility.

The Nike Flyknit Lunar2 is available now the NIKEiD program at for $185 USD. The men’s volt/white-blue glow and women’s atomic orange/white-purple colorways release online and at select retailers beginning Feb. 6.
