Russell Wilson

The NFL’s official online store (NFLShop.com) recently offered the sales tallies from April 2013 through last week of player jerseys, and Peyton Manning tops the list. However, the Seattle Seahawks made some noise with three players ranking in the top 10 — including quarterback Russell Wilson, running back Marshawn Lynch, and controversial cornerback Richard Sherman.

Behind the top-selling Manning is his Super Bowl counterpart, Wilson at No. 2. Colin Kaepernick lands at No. 3, Tom Brady at No. 4 and Drew Brees closes out the top 5.

The Seahawk’s Lynch nabs the No. 6 slot, while Sherman comes in at No. 10 — the only defensive player on the list. Sherman reportedly jumped three spots in January alone, passing the Washington Redskins’ Robert Griffin III, who sold more jerseys last year than any NFL player ever had sold in a single season.

The Seahawks have not had a player finish the season in the top 10 since the league began collecting data for its best-selling jerseys in 2001. Last year, Wilson and Lynch finished at No. 14 and No. 15, respectively.
