Drake repped Toronto by hosting the previously announced “Drake Night” at the city’s Air Canada Centre for NBA’s Raptors on Saturday (Jan. 11), which ended with the team taking a victory over the Brooklyn Nets 96-80.
During the evening, the rap star gave fans custom OVO t-shirts, announced the starters and enjoyed a courtside seat to take in the game.
“Tonight’s not really about me despite the title of the night. I think it’s just more about the momentum and bringing the city together,” Drake told reporters at a pre-game press conference, while showing off his custom Raptors suit.
“I can’t say I ever saw myself here, but the fact that I am here is truly one of the greatest things in the world,” he continued. “Just to see all these people representing OVO and representing the Toronto Raptors tonight, it’s surreal.”
Drake’s music played throughout the evening, and during halftime, Drizzy gave out two pairs of exclusive OVO Jordan sneakers.
