Despite the touchscreen being the most popular feature among smartphones, Blackberry is sticking physical keyboards.

At CES 2014 in Las Vegas last week, interim CEO John Chen announced that after several years of dabbling in software keyboards, the company will revert to the keyboards that made them popular.

“I personally love the keyboards,” he said. “So, you will look to BlackBerry going forward to do keyboards — I wouldn’t use the word exclusively, but predominantly.”

They tried the touchscreen, but as Chen explained, Blackberry will shift focus and address the needs of corporate and government users who are beginning to value faster and more intuitive typing.
