Cheeseburger lovers in Los Angeles area, this is for you. Pasadena’s annual Cheeseburger Week is slated to kick off this Saturday (Jan. 11), and continues through the week with all the cheeseburgers you can eat.
Organized by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, the week-long happening (Jan. 12 to 17) honors Lionel Sternberger, a man credited with being the first to put cheese on a hamburger at the Rite Spot in Pasadena in 1924.
It kicks off with an eating competition at Dog Haus Biergarten on Saturday, and then through the rest of the week, foodies can enjoy cheeseburgers at various participating Pasadena restaurants — some of which will feature special menu items and/or deals for patrons.
