Ice Cube

Though he's currently in movie mode, as he gears up for the theatrical release of Ride Along with Kevin Hart, Ice Cube's anticipated, 10th studio set, Everythang's Corrupt, gets a release date.

The West Coast rap legend took to Twitter this week to announce the date: "EVERYTHANGS CORRUPT street date: May 13, 2014," tweeted Cube (@IceCube).

On Halloween, Cube dropped the song "Sasquatch" and released a video for the Tom Morello-assisted title track in November 2012.

Now, we're sure to hear more music for the release ahead of the May date, which says will not be a "heavily political record."

"It's not a heavily political record, but it does have statement songs and rhymes," Cube recently told the Huffington Post. "I got a song called 'Dominate the Weak,' which is just showing you how a police state would look and feel. But hip-hop is in a different space right now when it comes to that. You don't want to overdo it when it comes to the political stuff."

For nore, look out for the comedy Ride Along, hitting theaters on January 17.
