What’s the world’s best-selling car of 2013? Forbes recently broke down the top 10. Topping the list is the Ford Focus.
Apparently, in the U.S., the Focus is outsold by other small cars, but worldwide, it’s the No. 1 seller.
“The Focus is an example of Ford’s global strategy to build a handful of cars that sell in large numbers around the world. LMC Automotive expects Focus to again squeak by Toyota Corolla as the world’s most popular car, with sales approaching 1.1 million vehicles,” writes Forbes.com.
Toyota comes in at No. 2 with the Corolla, which topped last year’s list. This year, the model sold over 1 million units worldwide.
At No. 3 is Volkswagen Jetta, selling just over 900,000 units worldwide; the Hyundai Elantra lands at No. 4; and the Chevrolet Cruze comes in at No. 5.
