The Brooklyn Nets were hit hard Friday (Nov. 29), when forward Paul Pierce suffered a broken hand… and will now miss two to four weeks.
According to ESPN.com, the 36-year-old NBA vet suffered a a non-displaced fracture of the third metacarpal in his right hand, during the team’s road loss to the Houston Rockets Friday.
So far this season, Pierce was averaging 12.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 15 games. Alan Anderson has started in his place so far.
The Nets are currently 5-12, and lose Pierce as starters Brook Lopez and Kevin Garnett returned from injuries themselves.
