The New York Knicks are out a big defensive force in center Tyson Chandler, who is expected to miss 4-6 weeks, due to a broken bone in his right leg. The team said Wednesday (Nov. 6) that tests showed no ligament or nerve damage, and surgery is not required, reports NBA.com.
Chandler left in the first quarter of a 102-97 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday (Nov. 5). He suffered a small fracture in the fibula in his lower leg.
So far this season, New York is off to a 1-3 start after winning its first Atlantic Division title since 1994 last season.
