With less than a week away from the release of her new ARTPOP album, Lady Gaga announced that she’ll perform in space.
According to Us Weekly, the pop star will blast off in a Virgin Galactic spaceship in 2015, and perform one song during the Zero G Colony high-tech musical festival in New Mexico. It will make Gaga the first artist to sing in outer space.
Gaga will have to take special vocal lessons, a month’s worth “because of the atmosphere,” said a source.
Zero G Colony is a three-day high-tech festival set to take place at Spaceport America in New Mexico. The singer’s performance in space will take place on the third day at dawn, six months after the first Virgin Galactic commercial flight.
“#GagaInSpace2015,” tweeted Gaga (@LadyGaga), who plans to reveal more details during her ARTPOP album launch in New York on Nov. 10.
Her third album, ARTPOP, drops Nov. 11.
