Derrick Rose’s latest signature shoe, the D Rose 4, dropped earlier this month from Adidas. If you haven’t seen it, here’s a closer look.
The new sneaker takes inspiration from Derrick’s divided demeanor — the heel representing his fierce game and explosive style of play on the court, while the front represents his relaxed and understated off-court style.
Adidas’ trademark three stripes is prominent on the heel and continues on the sole, serving as reminder of Derrick’s speed to opponents when he leaps over them. A cushioned GEOFIT collar and adiPRENE cushioning match that mantra are also included, as well as perforated SPRINTWEB construction which transitions nicely from the court to the street; Adidas’ Crazyquick outsole traction system for flexibility and slashing moves on the court; and an improved molded SprintFrame chassis.
And finally, the distinctive D Rose logo, which debuted on the D Rose 3 in 2012. It’s displayed on the tongue and collar, made of three petals that revolve around the letter “D” and number “1” in the center to represent his three brothers and mother.
The D Rose 4 is available now at select retailers and Adidas.com on for $140 in various colorways.
