Rihanna and G.O.O.D. Music signee Teyana Taylor had it out on Twitter earlier this week, beginning with what was perceived as a subliminal shot sent by Riri.
According to reports, Taylor took offense to a video the pop star posted of her male hairstylist performing a parody of Teyana’s “Caught Up in the Rapture” cover, while sporting a curly wig, snapback, and sneakers. She had posted a similar video earlier in the month.
“Don’t play wit me @rihanna f*** all this industry sh**, YOU & I know each other VERY well. Throwing subs 4 wat? u got my #, don’t show off,” tweeted Teyana (@TeyanaTaylor).
Right after the tweet, Rihanna’s fans fired back, but she refused to back down, saying her “Navy” doesn’t intimidate her. “y’all could bully everybody else & get away wit that sh** but that sh** ain’t gone work ova here. so y’all could miss me with that NAVY sh**,” she said.
“i sing caught in the rapture on IG then she posts her boy singing the same song, the same part, with curly hair and a snap back??? #PETTY. … petty is petty and shade is shade, bitch knew what the f*** she was doing,” Teyana continued.
After all the fiasco, Rihanna finally responded, tweeting (@Rihanna): “I REFUSE to help your career … you will NOT get an @ from me! Not til you pay me! #nomorefreepromo #iRefuse.”
Rihanna’s best friend, Melissa Forde, would later chime in, writing: “@TEYANATAYLOR #HOSHUTDAFUCKUP #BigSeanvoice. She also added: “@TEYANATAYLOR #isFrankenweeniecallinmesicklooking #callabitchupntellmehowureallyfeelcuntface #FuckUPayme #LILBITCH.”
Teyana would respond also, “@rihanna shut yo punk ass up bitch. Fight ya own battles. Melissa & Robyn never been about that life. Them bitches know wassuppp!”
Since the exchange, Teyana deleted her tweets, and moved on.
