Nearly two years after joining Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang imprint, female rapper Lola Monroe has decided to pair ways with the hip-hop star.
The news was announced in a statement released to XXL from a Taylor Gang executive, who says the company is no longer affiliated with the former model-turned-rapper. “After years of helping build their careers, we did not feel as if the relationships were mutually beneficial,” said the exec. “We wish LoLa and Cardo the best, but hope they move on in their respective directions without affiliating themselves to the Taylor Gang brand or name.”
Since joining the label, Lola has appeared on Khalifa’s Taylor Allderdice mixtape and latest album, O.N.I.F.C.; and also toured with Wiz and other Taylor Gang members on “The 2050 Tour” in 2012.
Label reps say Lola, nor Cardo (a producer), were officially signed to Taylor Gang. It’s current roster boasts Juicy J, Chevy Woods, Tuki Carter, and Berner.
