Rockers Queens Of The Stone Age played at Jay Z’s recent Made In America music festival in Philly in late August, but weren’t happy with how they were treated.
During a recent interview on The Strombo Show, frontman Josh Homme had some words for the hip-hop mogul, calling him “a kook.”
He’s upset over the way security frisked the acts… and even said Jay was rude. “He has his security frisking the bands on the way in,” Homme explained. “No one’s ever done that. You shouldn’t frisk my guys, you should f*** off.”
Later, he says Jay gave the band a bottle of champagne and asked if they would take a picture with it. “I was like, ‘That’s not a gift.. that’s a marketing tool.’ I destroyed it, ’cause I thought it was rude overall,” Homme explained.
Jay has not responded to Homme’s comments.
