Kelly Rowland was among a group of passengers that were lost at sea for over 12 hours this weekend, before finally being rescued.
According to E! Online, the singer was aboard a private boat on Friday (July 19) that broke down off the shores of Provincetown, Massachusetts.
She had rented the craft with friends for a day of whale watching… but their vessel became “disoriented in the five-to-six-foot waves and fog that had rolled in,” an employee at TowboatUS Provincetown confirmed to E!
“The US Coast Guard was able to triangulate their position” after learning that the group needed help, added the employee.
The boat would be towed, and Rowland, along with her friends and crew, eventually arrived on land at around 10 p.m., after a total of 12 hours at sea.
In the end, the entire group was said to be “tired and thankful,” the employee said.
