With the release date growing closer, Jay-Z breaks down yet another song off his upcoming Magna Carta Holy Grail — “Jay-Z Blue.”

On the cut, he raps about fatherhood and his own father’s absence, and his fear of not being a good father to his daughter Blue Ivy.

“It’s something that we both created,” Jay says of his child with Beyoncé. “We still marvel at her. It’s most obvious on a song called ‘Jay-Z Blue,’ and it deals with my pop left when I was young, so he didn’t teach me how to be a man nor how to raise a child or treat a woman. So, of course, with my karma, the two things I needed I don’t have and I have a daughter. It’s the paranoia of not being a great dad.”

Magna Carta Holy Grail will be available to Samsung Galaxy users on July 4th, with the worldwide release coming July 7th.
