Word of Diddy’s plan to launch a music-theme cable network called Revolt TV first surfaced in early 2012… and now, more than a year later, he inks a deal with Time Warner Cable (TWC).

The news was officially announced on Thursday (June 20), that the hip-hop mogul’s Revolt TV has finalized a national carriage agreement with TWC… and set to launch in the fall.

Together, with its previously announced distribution, the network hopes it will be “one of the largest launches in cable TV history when it goes live.”

Envisioned as a maverick television channel, it will feature an emphasis on music programming, live content and a robust social media component.

“This is a landmark distribution deal that demonstrates Time Warner Cable’s commitment to bringing a platform for music artists and fans to their subscribers,” Diddy said in a statement. “It positions Revolt to come out of the gate strong, and we look forward to igniting the passion of initial audiences across the U.S.”
