Prodigy Says Teen Son Helped Him Link With Odd Future

Mobb Deep's Prodigy dropped his latest project this week, a collabo LP with long-time collaborator Alchemist entitled Albert Einstein.

In support of the record, he sits down with Fuse.TV to talk about the new record... and how exactly he linked up with Odd Future -- he collaborated with Domo Genesis on the album cut, "Y.N.T. (Young and Thuggin)".

Apparently, his 16-year-old son helped him hook up with Odd Future, after skateboarding with the crew during his summers in Los Angeles.

"[Odd Future] reminded me of me, growing up, just wild and having fun," P explains of what attracted him to their music. "My son knows them. When he's out in Cali with Alchemist -- when I was locked up, Al would bring him out to Cali for the summer. My son would be skating with them, so he was like, 'I know them kids, I skate with them.' "

Albert Einstein is out now. It features the likes of Raekwon, Odd Future's Domo Genesis, and Action Bronson, among others.
