Remember St. Louis rapper J-Kwon? No? Well, he emerged in 2004 with his smash hit, “Tipsy,” but would disappear from the limelight in recent years. However, he’s made headlines recently with the release of a diss track aimed at both Odd Future and G.O.O.D. Music rapper Pusha T, called “Pushing The Odds”.
Reports say the record was in response to previously released tracks from Odd Future (“Rella”) and Pusha T (“Only You Can Tell It”).
On “Rella,” Tyler spits: “You ain’t got no f***in’ Yeezy? / five albums, 100 songs, and you ain’t got no f***in’ Yeezy? / I betchu got some J-Kwon / You ain’t got no f***in Yeezy?” And on “Only You Can Tell It”, Pusha raps: I’m gridnin’ n****, you J-Kwon.”
As for J-Kwon, on “Pushing The Odds,” he warns both rappers to watch their mouths, rhyming: “All I wanna know is why they pickin’ on me? / ‘Cause I f*** around and pop yo ass.”
Tyler seemed to get a kick out of the diss song, commenting on Twitter this Wednesday (June 12), seemingly amused by it.
“DO YALL REMEMBER J-KWON? PROLLY NOT. BUT ANYWAY HE MADE A DISS SONG TOWARDS ODD FUTURE AND I AM SO F***ING STOKED,” the OFWGKTA frontman wrote (@f***tyler).
