As widely reported, Nike has backed Kevin Durant’s pledge to support the victims of the Oklahoma Tornadoes, and are doing so by donating the proceeds from the sale the KD V Elite “Oklahoma City” colorway.

We got a hands on a pair, and offer a closer look to our readers, from the box to the detailing of the entire sneaker.

Durant’s new signature shoe dropped in late May, and comes in a white/tour yellow/photo blue montage that graces the low top silhouette. It features a white overlay with tour yellow on the outole and Nike Zoom unit, as well sock liner and lacing system, while blue accents the tougue support and midsole.

Nike’s ELITE Series incorporates the most innovative materials and latest design techniques from Nike Basketball, including its groundbreaking Carbon Fiber, Kevlar and Flywire technology. The KD V ELITE version features lightweight construction, enhanced fit, and dynamic protection.

The Nike KD V Elite “Oklahoma City” retails for $180, and is available now at Nike retailers, and online at … with proceeds benefiting victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes.
