Porsche celebrates the 50th anniversary of its 911 model with a special 50 Years Edition.

The iconic sports card first made its debut in Frankfurt on September 12, 1963, and has since become one of the most iconic sports cars ever. The last one was the type 991, released back in 2011.

The 2013 911 features the wide body from the Carrera 4 model (released in 1988), and pays homage to the original through the inclusion of the 3.8L flat-six engine, Fuchs wheels, a chrome grill, classically styled gauges, and houndstooth-patterned sport seats.

The Porsche 911 50 Years Edition will be limited to just 1,963 units, and will come with the option of a PDK automatic or a seven-speed manual transmission.
