Yeezus is coming, and Kanye West has finally unveiled the official cover for what will be his sixth album.
In a tweet on Friday (May 31), the hip-hop star revealed the coverart, which is posted on his website (KanyeWest.com). For it, a blank CD appears behind a clear plastic case with a piece of red duct tape attached to the side and the title scrawled out in Sharpie.
Kim Kardashian and members of Yeezy’s crew previously tweeted photos of a different cover that appeared to have a melted Jesus piece and the red tape. But, apparently, that was premature.
At KanyeWest.com, you can mouse over the cover, and hear 13 seconds of a new song reportedly titled “Bound.”
According to Rap-Up.com, the packaging was designed by Kanye’s creative company DONDA, also responsible for the artwork of 2 Chainz’ Based on a T.R.U. Story and Lil Wayne’s I Am Not a Human Being II.
Kanye’s Yeezus album is due out June 18th. Reports say there will be no pre-orders in advance of the street date.
