Chris Kelly, aka Mac Daddy (above left) of the successful 1990s rap duo Kris Kross, died in Atlanta on Wednesday (May 1). He was just 34 years old.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, the rapper was found unconscious in his home and was pronounced dead around 5:30 pm EST at the south campus of the Atlanta Medical Center.
Further details were unknown at press time.
As part of Kris Kross, Kelly shot to super stardom in the ’90s with the smash hit, “Jump.” He and group member Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith were also famous for wearing their clothing backwards.
The pair reunited back in February (below) during a 20th anniversary concert thrown by Jermaine Dupri for his iconic So So Def record label, where Kriss Kross were previously signed when they broke onto the scene.
