Audi recently unveiled a new TT Ultra Quattro concept card, which is super lightweight.
Based on the current generation TT S Quattro, the concept sheds weight thanks to the use of carbon fiber reinforced polymer throughout the likes of the roof, hood, and rear end; a redesigned body structure; and a slew of detachable parts — it weighs in at just 2,449 pounds, for a reduction of more than 660 lbs overall.
A rear wing is added for performance, while a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder TFSI turbo-charged engine provides 310 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque under the hood, allowing it to hit a top speed of 174 mph and acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds.
It also boasts Audi’s R8 GT bucket seats, a fiberglass-reinforced plastic chassis, compact cameras in place of exterior mirrors, ceramic disc brakes, and titanium exhaust pipes.
